Summary of Position

Sixstream Signs Ltd. is looking to add to our hard-working team. The ideal candidate must be reliable and detail-oriented with clear communication skills, experience with hand and power tools. The Shop helper is responsible for completing assigned shop and installation related duties. Use of technology applications to monitor, track and communicate progress of work until completion with other team members.

Duties & Responsibilities

Understand all safety procedures, policies and standards. Think and be safe before you act. Assist with Sign production which will include forming, joining, painting and finishing signs Preparation of materials for fabrication and installations Loading and unloading of shipments Maintain quality and test finished products Organize, set-up, maintain and clean all shop areas May require installation of signage including work on ladders, scaffolding and lifts Utilize project tracking tools and other online applications Prepare all required work, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 1-year related experience in warehouse environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn (required) Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of equipment Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Punctual and dependable Experience with power and hand tools Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Experience:

Warehouse : 1 year (preferred) Hand tools: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

BC Driver's Licence (preferred)
