We are looking for a Shop Hand to join our growing team. We require an individual with knowledge in the construction industry, the ability to provide a high level of customer service, and who can manage the shop inventory. You will be accountable for keeping the shop area organized and tidy. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required.
Responsibilities
Book repairs, oil changes and tire changes of all company vans and keep record of vehicle maintenance; provide employee transportation if needed
Maintenance of all COR safety equipment; working closely with COR supervisor
Coordinate repair of all company parts, tools and equipment
Coordination and delivery of scissor lift to job sites when required
Pick up and drop off of parts at job sites to electricians when required
Shipping and receiving of control parts and materials, including communicating with ICS employees regarding status of these parts
Packaging and shipping of parts to customers
Coordination and shipping of any parts that need to be repaired by one of our vendors
Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies
Identify, label, and catalogue parts received
Maintain records on inventory control system
Coordination of GFL waste collection and septic tank schedule
Snow removal, grass cutting and property maintenance when applicable
Maintaining a tidy, organized shop
Requirements
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform repetitive tasks
Competence in the area of safety
Valid Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License
Computer skills is an asset
Strong prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and take responsibility for your work
A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail and leadership skills
