Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Shop Foreman/Woman

to manage day-to-day operations in our workshop. The ideal candidate will have

strong mechanical and welding knowledge

, leadership abilities, and the skills necessary to oversee the production process while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained.

Fluent English communication

is a must, as this role involves coordinating with team members and management.


Responsibilities:




Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of shop personnel, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Oversee the installation, repair, fabrication, and welding of mechanical components and systems. Assign and delegate tasks to team members based on skills and project requirements. Inspect and assess the quality of work to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Troubleshoot mechanical and welding issues, providing guidance and solutions to the team. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Maintain a safe and organized work environment by enforcing safety regulations and company policies. Manage the inventory of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper usage and adequate supply. Monitor work progress, track work orders, and ensure timely project completion. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow. Train and mentor shop employees, enhancing their skills and overall performance.

Requirements:




Proven experience

as a

Shop Foreman/Woman

or in a similar leadership role in a mechanical or welding environment. Strong

mechanical and welding knowledge

with hands-on experience.

Fluent English

communication skills (verbal and written) for effective team coordination. Solid understanding of

safety standards

in a workshop setting and the ability to enforce them.

Strong leadership skills

, including the ability to delegate tasks and manage team performance. Ability to manage shop tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition. Experience with

inventory management

and maintaining proper stock levels. * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
