Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Coordinator/Manager to oversee the daily operations of our shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining exceptional shop organization. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing shop staff and ensuring efficient operations, and prioritize coordinating equipment to schedule services and repairs done. Your ability to source parts from various vendors, buy products at competitive prices, negotiate with suppliers, and manage inventory will be crucial to the success of our shop. There will also involve sales on hydraulic hoses, and brake parts and looking after all outside customers.

Mechanical knowledge is mandatory for the job. Small tool box is preferred to assist shop when needed. Class 1 license and running of equipment would be extremely useful for this position.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and high standards of customer service. Manage inventory levels, including ordering new stock and negotiating prices with suppliers. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster a motivated team environment. Implement effective time management and organizational strategies to enhance productivity. Handle cashiering duties, including processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Prepare administrative reports on sales performance, inventory status, and employee productivity. Looking after safety of shop, looking after quarterly inspections, tool box talks with staff on a regular basis.

Experience



Proven experience in store management or a similar role within a retail environment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in math for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with administrative tasks related to store operations is advantageous. Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Mechanical knowledge is mandatory for this position. Heavy duty parts industry knowledge is an asset. Class 1 drivers license and equipment operation is an asset.
