Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




Shipping/Receiving is responsible for the accurate loading and unloading of raw materials, products, and finished goods to ensure correct record verification and documentation as well as safe movement and storage of items. Notify shipping or shift supervisor immediately regarding any apparent unsatisfactory product, discrepancies, shipment container issues or missing seals. Maintain inventory accuracy through good inventory control, ensure accurate entry of receiving into WMS inventory system. Communication with internal and external parties (ex. Delivery drivers, Production employees, QA, Management, etc.) Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold), working at heights. Follow all GMP's, safety and HACCP procedures. This position requires climbing stairs, carrying hoses and other equipment, and using power lift equipment as well as lifting, pushing and pulling on occasion Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Physical Requirements:




Able to stand for prolonged periods of time Able to set up, adjust and operate machinery Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach Able to observe and detect issues Able to ascend/descend stairs Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)

Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment Comply with Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), & Lockout/Tagout requirements Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards Adhere to HACCP guidelines Adhere to Allergen Management best practice for food manufacturers Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:




1-2 years experience Fork Lift experience is an asset Working at heights is an asset Able to follow clear instructions Able to read and write English to perform tasks successfully Basic technology skills to record data into computer or electronic tablet Continuous attention to details in performing all tasks Comfortable working as an individual contributor as well as with a team, as required Expected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues arise

Pay range for this position is $18.55 per hour to $20.74 per hour.



This is a 12-hour day rotation position
