Job Description


As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping department. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the shipping process, from receiving and organizing goods to preparing and dispatching shipments. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will help ensure that our products are delivered accurately and on time to our customers.Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy and condition
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring proper storage and labeling
  • Prepare orders for shipment, carefully packaging products to prevent damage
  • Generate shipping labels and documents, ensuring accurate information and compliance with shipping regulations
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective service
  • Track and update shipment status, providing information to customers and internal teams as needed
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments, working closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with shipping software and MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed
