JOB SUMMARY



Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will play a key role as a Shipping Clerk, with a focus on supporting transportation bids. You will contribute to the smooth running of local shipments and transfers between our warehouses in Canada and the United States. Your responsibilities will include managing shipping documents (packing list, labels, customs), measuring product dimensions, communicating with carriers, and entering data into our systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Shipping Support



Support colleagues in the day-to-day management of shipping. Create, verify and print pick lists in the morning and afternoon. Print packing lists and labels. Greet carriers and announce transports to the shipping team. Answer calls from carriers and contact them when orders are ready.

Quotes and support for transport operations



Take product dimensions and work with the warehouse to estimate the space required (square feet, number of pallets). Communicate with carriers to obtain costs and assign carriers. Ensure rigorous follow-up on bids completed on time and in full. Process transfer requests and customer service inquiries related to shipments.

Administrative and systems tasks:



Enter data into Excel and the ERP (Epicor). Prepare customs paperwork. Process EDI. Work closely with the logistics team and truck drivers. Perform any other related tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED



Education:

High School Diploma (DES).

Experience:

At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role (shipping, logistics, warehouse). Any combination of relevant education or experience will be considered. Understanding of warehouse and transportation operations.

Languages:

advanced French and functional English. Knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Outlook and Excel, and ability to learn new computer software.
