with a key focus on receiving, to join our team in Bolton, Ontario. This position is a crucial part of our supply chain, ensuring every shipment that comes through our doors is handled, inspected, and documented accurately.
As the first point of contact for all incoming deliveries, you'll make sure products arrive on time, in perfect condition, and are properly logged into our systems. Success in this role means being organized, precise, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where every detail matters.
You'll collaborate closely with our warehouse, inventory, and purchasing teams to keep operations running smoothly. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and prioritizes safety and efficiency while keeping our receiving operations on track.
Responsibilities
Receiving (Primary Focus)
Handle incoming deliveries safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand when needed.
Unpack shipments, organize items for inspection, and make sure everything looks right.
Check each delivery for accuracy, quality, and condition before it's officially logged in.
Compare shipments to purchase orders and packing slips to confirm all details match.
Report any shortages, overages, or damage to your supervisor or the inventory team.
Coordinate with vendors or carriers to manage returns or claims when necessary.
Label and route items to the right storage or staging areas for smooth processing.
Keep our warehouse management system (WMS/ERP) updated with accurate receiving records.
Pitch in with inventory counts and audits to help keep everything in sync.
Maintain proper tracking for lot numbers or serial numbers when required.
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Inspect equipment regularly and follow company safety procedures.
Work as a team with purchasing, quality assurance, and warehouse staff to solve any inventory issues.
Shipping (Secondary Support)
Help with picking, packing, and shipping outgoing orders as needed.
Load outbound shipments securely and make sure documentation is complete.
Double-check that everything leaving the building matches its shipping paperwork.
Maintain shipping logs and paperwork such as manifests and labels.
Coordinate carrier pickups and make sure shipments go out on schedule.
Support other tasks like returns or cross-docking when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
At least one year of experience in receiving, warehousing, material handling, or logistics is preferred.
Able to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail, you take pride in keeping records accurate and up to date.
Comfortable using computers and warehouse systems (ERP and RF scanners).
If you have a valid forklift certification, it's an asset.
Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs (when needed).
You have great organizational and time management skills and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Clear and confident communication, both spoken and written.
Works well independently and as part of a team.
Understands and follows safety guidelines and ergonomic best practices.
