JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:



Responsibilities include but not limited to, properly receiving, verifying and recording all incoming materials and goods. Sorting and storing material in a proper manner and in their designated area. Help assist shipping department to ensure deliveries and shipments run smoothly.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:



Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or shipper & BOM documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods Ensure all goods are unpacked and routed to appropriate storage areas (containers/bins) and making sure BOM is present with the material stating what is in the bin/container and the quantity Barcode scan materials into system to enter, receive and track all materials Ensure paperwork is ready for the deliveries/pickups Assist with receiving, tracking and storing of all consumables in their proper location, Maintain internal record-keeping systems. Everything must be signed out when taken, to be able to track it Contacting the proper personnel when their supplies have arrived Notifying the proper personal regarding first article inspection of all incoming dunnage and release goods once it passes F/A Contacting the material follow-up coordinator if there are any discrepancies with any inbound goods Maintain safe work practices Maintain a clean and safe work environment i.e. work station, lunchroom, etc. Participate in continuous improvements, 5S and 8 Waste initiatives, including and not limited to processes, production flow, etc. Practice safe and proper use of machinery and tools

QUALIFICATIONS


MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma 2 years Shipping / Receiving Experience in a manufacturing setting
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES REQUIRED

Forklift certification Must have good organizational skills Proficient in reading and understanding numbers Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft Excel Hand eye coordination Physically capable of lifting in excess of 40lbs Must have steel toe boots
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Leamington, ON N8H 2W1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Work Location: In person
