Avenue Machinery has an immediate opening for a Shipper Receiver for our Abbotsford, B.C. location. • Picking customer and branch part request items.
• Sorting and locating incoming stock.
• Completing all shipping documents.
• Examining and counting shipment contents and comparing with records, including Purchase Order Receipts, invoices, and packing slips, to verify accuracy of shipments.
• Pick, pack, seal and label materials to prepare for shipping
• Maintaining safe working conditions and keeping the stock room and related areas clean and free of debris.

• Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to successfully work under minimal supervision.
• Previous Shipping and Receiving experience a strong asset.
• Basic computer user skills for communicating with internal staff.
• Must be able to work outside in yard area year round.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move goods repeatedly
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as ensure a high quality of work completed within an acceptable timeframe
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated and goal orientated.

• Education & Experience:

• Completion of Grade 12.
