About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator who can work independently and as part of our Shipping and Receiving team to ensure that materials are received accurately into production and finished goods are shipped accurately and on time to our customers.

As this is an industrial environment, we will provide the PPE required (hard hats, steel-toe rubber boots, and rain gear).

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 02:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Main Responsibilities include:

Perform the receiving and shipment duties of raw materials, finished products, packaging products and ingredients Ensure the integrity of the products Ensure that the quantities correspond to the receipt / shipment slip Enter products in the EXA system; data entry/scanning Weigh, cool and place products where appropriate Rotate products (FIFO) according to storage standards Truck loading / unloading Receive the order forms and take note of the orders to be prepared during the day Pick orders according to the products indicated on the order form which requires using a pallet truck or a forklift Perform the inspection and daily maintenance of the forklift, survey equipment and the shunter Respect occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP, GFSI, HACCP and C-TPAT) Work safely and maintain a clean work environment Comply with the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipment Report any dangerous situation or potential contamination to the immediate superior Perform other related duties

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

High school diploma Minimum one (1) year experience in warehouse work, STAND-UP forklift operating, and truck loading Possess valid forklift certification Pass forklift operation test and order picking an assessment Strong mathematic skills for quick, accurate product counts Proficiency in spoken and written English and knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset Ability to work in a cool and humid facility (4C) and outdoors (summer and winter) Ability to lift loads up to 40 lbs Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure Experience in food production and knowledge of HACCP standards is an asset
