Job Description

The Parts Shipper/Receiver ensures efficient movement, warehousing, and delivery of parts. Key Responsibility Areas



Shipping

Pick and package parts for shipping Ship domestic parts orders, creating accurate online documentation and inventory records Ship international parts orders, creating accurate online records including all customs documentation Obtain shipping quotes and determine the most effective mode for transportation Ensure customer orders are accurately priced, including shipping costs Use the Epicor system to generate documents including packing slips Consistently meet customer shipping deadlines
Receiving

Receive purchase orders within Epicor Direct incoming shipments to correct location for delivery Compare packing slips to actual vendor shipments (part numbers, quantities and pricing) and note discrepancies As shipments arrive, inspect for damage and note damages on waybill before signing off for delivery driver Label parts with Custom Vac part numbers Put stock away in correct location in warehouse or other specified location Resolve damage claims with shipping companies and shipping discrepancies with vendors.
Internal Parts Movement

Transport materials as requested to shop floor Receive and complete transfer orders Relocate parts to new bin locations
Projects and Other Assignments

Assists in monitoring/maintaining/administering parts inventory Provides back-up to other Parts personnel as required Works on related projects or initiatives assigned

Qualifications



Education

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent Stand-up forklift or parts training would be an asset
Experience

2-3 Years' experience in shipping department Experience in outdoor forklift operation Effective in the use of Microsoft Office, experience with Teams and SharePoint is an asset. Experience with EPICOR or another ERP is preferred.

Working Conditions



Part of this job will be performed at a desk using a computer and attention to good ergonomic practices will be required. Guidance will be provided. Most work will be conducted in a warehouse or yard environment, which may be noisy and dusty, and will present some hazards. Winter outdoor work is expected. The employee will provide CSA-Certified safety footwear which is required for the warehouse/shop area. All other Personal Protective Equipment will be provided. Consistent and appropriate use of PPE is a requirement of this position.
