Shipper/receiver + Part Time Delivery Driver

Job Description

The Delivery Driver potion of this posting is non-essential. Ideally looking for a candidate that could fit both roles, but primarily need a shipper/receiver.


Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team, specifically to manage our metal spindle inventory. We need somebody with strong organization skills, and the ability to manage their own tasks day to day without constant supervision.

Duties



Load and unload shipments using forklifts Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging and labeling products according to company standards Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders Organize and store inventory accurately within the warehouse, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage conditions Pick and pack orders accurately for order fulfillment Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy Communicate with company purchasers to maintain proper inventory levels, and raise awareness regarding material defects Follow safety protocols during all warehousing activities to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications



Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution preferred Experience operating forklifts Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of packaging materials and techniques for order fulfillment is desirable

Delivery Driver


Primary duties would include occasional hot shots around Calgary and surrounding area, and once a week morning delivery to our Edmonton warehouse. 1-Ton gas truck, generally pulling a 30 foot closed gooseneck trailer. Candidates that are able to meet both the driving & shipping criteria will be sought after, and considered for higher starting pay.

Qualifications



- Must be able to provide clean drivers abstract
- Must possess valid Class 5 drivers license
- Experience pulling trailers ideal
- Must be able to perform routine vehicle inspections before each trip

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
