Position Overview
As our Shipper/Receiver you are an important part of a procurement team that is customer and service-focused. You always COMMUNICATE clearly with the intent to connect and act in a professional manner with guests, associates, and suppliers. You are a PROBLEM SOLVER energized by the variety of tasks involved in receiving, processing, and organizing goods. Possessing a solid WORK ETHIC, you work well in fast-paced environments and are known for being responsible and reliable. You are proud to represent the Cabot brand and proactively act as an ambassador and role model. EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE Under the direction of the Procurement and Logistics Specialist, you will:

  • Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using handling equipment.
  • Examine received goods for damage and compare records - such as manifests, invoices, or purchase orders - to verify the accuracy of shipment.
  • Action internal requisition orders and requests; picking, sorting, delivering of goods and maintaining records of such.
  • Ensure received goods are delivered efficiently across property.
  • Complete departmental paperwork including delivery and receiving logs, inventory records etc.
  • Assist with packing items and preparing shipments using online accounts and freight services.
  • Report any low or depleted inventory levels within the department in a timely manner to enable reordering.
  • Correspond with Leaders across property to rectify issues encountered and/or highlight opportunities for improvement to processes.
  • Manage requests for cross-property transfers alongside shipment deliveries to maximize efficiency and adhere to time constraints.
  • Communicate using excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Ensure the shipping and receiving area is always maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform local pickup and delivery tasks as necessary.


Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
  • Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License is required.
  • High school diploma and/or experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with information systems and inventory management an asset
Physical Demands
  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and/or lifting.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
  • Exerting up to 100pounds of force occasionally to maneuver, push or otherwise move objects.
Ability to ascend or descend stairs and ramps on a frequent basis.
