Overview

The Shipper/Receiver plays a crucial role in our parts department, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently and accurately. This position involves managing inventory, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining a well-organized shipping area. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and a strong understanding of order fulfillment processes.

Duties

Process incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them appropriately. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move packages and materials safely within the warehouse. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area to ensure efficient workflow. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Transport and deliver parts to various locations around town using the parts van, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers or businesses.

Skills

Experience with order picking and packaging for shipment. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and best practices. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
