We are seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations by managing the shipping and receiving processes that support our commitment to quality and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving:

Unloading and Verification:

Unloading containers and trucks and other conveyances, and inspecting incoming goods against packing lists, invoices, or orders to verify quantities and condition.

Damage and Discrepancy:

Documenting any shortages or damaged goods and resolving discrepancies and reporting to your manager.

Storage:

Unpacking, sorting, and routing goods to appropriate storage areas within the facility.

Shipping:

Preparation:

Order picking, Order packing , sealing, and labelling items for shipment, including preparing necessary documents like shipping orders or bills of lading.

Arranging Transport:

Occasionally, arranging and coordinating the method of shipment and tracking outgoing items to their destinations, including shipment by courier .

Inventory Management:

Record Keeping:

Maintaining internal, manual, and computerized record-keeping systems for inventory accuracy per required.

Equipment Operation:

Operating various equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, and store goods. Valid license to operate folklift truck is required.

Communication:

Communicating with internal teams, supervisors, suppliers, and transportation carriers to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Attention to Detail:

Crucial for accurately verifying orders, checking for damages, and maintaining precise records.

Organizational Skills:

Needed to manage multiple tasks, maintain organized storage areas, and ensure the efficient coordination of shipping and receiving schedules.

Physical Stamina:

The role requires physical strength to move items, work on your feet for extended periods, and potentially lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Safety Awareness:

Following safety rules, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area are vital for safe operations.
