Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising staff, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations. Manage cash handling procedures, including accurate cash register operations and end-of-shift reconciliation. Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the restaurant. Assist in training new employees on operational procedures, customer service standards, and food preparation techniques. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and enhancing the overall guest experience. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock for kitchen operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or restaurant management is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Experience in cash handling procedures is essential. Knowledge of kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. A passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
