Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during assigned shifts. The Shift Manager will play a key role in maintaining a positive work environment and upholding the company's standards for quality and service excellence.

Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant activities, including food preparation, serving, and customer interactions Lead and motivate team members to ensure high levels of performance, teamwork, and customer satisfaction Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately Conduct staff interviews, assist with hiring decisions, and participate in onboarding new team members Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and restocking Enforce health, safety, and sanitation policies to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and guests Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest experience Assist in training staff on food service protocols, kitchen procedures, and hospitality standards Ensure compliance with all restaurant management policies and operational procedures during shifts

Skills



Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, including supervising teams in fast-paced environments Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cash handling Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff Experience in interviewing candidates and participating in hiring processes Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage financial procedures Familiarity with restaurant management software and kitchen operations Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
