We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Conduct interviews for new hires and assist in the onboarding process.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service or hospitality industry.
Strong background in restaurant management, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
Familiarity with Micros POS systems or similar cash handling systems is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and training.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Previous experience in interviewing candidates for various positions within the restaurant is a plus.
