Job Summary



We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Lead to oversee daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and service, and the ability to manage staff effectively. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant. Prior experience in management within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments is highly preferred.

MUST be available to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards. Lead staff training and development, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing coaching to enhance performance. Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality control, proper food handling, and compliance with safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and sales processing. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming environment. Monitor shift performance, assign tasks to team members, and ensure efficient service delivery in both casual dining and fine dining settings. Assist with food production for catering or banquet events when necessary. Enforce health and safety standards related to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation. Support management in budgeting, labor scheduling, and operational planning to meet business goals.

Skills



Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service or fine dining environments. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and conflict resolution. Ability to manage inventory control effectively while minimizing waste. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Experience with food industry standards including catering, banquet service, bar operations, and kitchen management is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
