Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Assist in plating and presenting dishes for service.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Follow proper food handling procedures at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
