Sheet Metal Worker / Service Manager

to join our team in a dual-role capacity, balancing hands-on installation with leadership in service management.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a tradesperson who enjoys both hands-on work and leadership responsibilities. The position is split 50% sheet metal work and 50% service management.

Key Responsibilities

Sheet Metal Worker Duties (50%)

Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork for HVAC systems, including heat pumps, furnaces and ventilation systems (HRV/CRV). Install sheet metal ventilation components for residential and new construction projects, including range hoods and bathroom exhaust. Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. Collaborate with other trades on-site to complete projects efficiently. Troubleshoot and repair existing ductwork and ventilation systems as needed.

Service Manager Duties (50%)

Oversee and manage projects, ensuring work and timelines match customer needs. Coordinate and dispatch service team members to jobs. Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to service team members. Maintain inventory of installation and assembly related materials and order supplies as needed. Communicate with customers to provide quotes, updates, and ensure satisfaction. Train and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Red Seal Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker certification (or equivalent experience preferred). Experience in service management, scheduling, and customer relations is a strong asset. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Valid driver's license with a clean abstract. Proficiency with industry tools and software for service management (or willingness to learn). Strong communication and leadership skills to manage service teams and customer interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
