Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Measure and mark sheet metal according to template Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal Operate laser cutters Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Operate plasma cutters Develop computerized pattern and layout Cut materials using power tools or by hand Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment Fit and join sheet metal parts Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
