Summary

The Sheet Metal Lead Hand will oversee and support the fabrication of sheet metal flashing and related products. This role involves managing materials, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring that production schedules are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and manage inventory of sheet metal and related materials Coordinate with Site Foremen to confirm measurements and requirements Calculate blank sizes using bend deduction math Generate cut lists to minimize material waste Operate and program CNC brake press machines Shear and prepare all materials for fabrication Coordinate with the Logistics Manager and delivery driver to ensure timely delivery of parts to sites Create, update, and share fabrication schedules with team members and management Receive deliveries and ensure materials are logged and stored properly Oversee and coordinate machine maintenance with Yannick Gourd (Machine Mechanic) for troubleshooting

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong math skills (algebra and geometry required) Forklift license (required) Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Proficiency with computers (email, spreadsheets, cut lists, and basic software) Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
