We're seeking an experienced Architectural Sheet Metal Lead Hand to join our expanding ASM division. The Lead Hand works closely with the Foreman to coordinate and execute daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, models quality workmanship, and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Foreman with daily work plans, task assignments, and crew direction Lead installation of architectural sheet metal systems: wall panels, flashing, soffit, fascia, and custom details Ensure work meets safety, quality, and craftsmanship standards Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and layouts Maintain accurate records of materials and completed work Mentor apprentices and train new workers on tools, materials, and techniques Communicate progress, issues, and solutions with team and supervisors Identify potential quality or safety issues and take corrective action promptly Keep work area clean, organized, and hazard-free

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3-5 years of architectural sheet metal experience (commercial or industrial preferred) Strong working knowledge of panel systems, flashing, layout, and fabrication Experience leading small crews or acting as a designated Lead Hand is an asset Ability to read and interpret drawings and shop details accurately Valid Fall Protection and WHMIS certifications (First Aid and Aerial Lift tickets are assets) Reliable transportation and willingness to work out of town when required Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and attention to detail

Pay: $40.00-$43.00 per hour
