We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and metalworking, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires expertise in various hand tools and techniques related to sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal components.
Perform welding tasks as needed for assembly and repair of metal structures.
Conduct restoration work on existing installations, ensuring quality and durability.
Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, carpentry, and flooring installation teams to complete projects.
Apply caulking and construction painting techniques as required for finishing touches.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sheet metal work or related field.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
Familiarity with hand tools used in metal fabrication, including but not limited to saws, drills, and welding equipment..
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
