Responsibilities

Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints. Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to complete projects. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements. Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure they meet industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Operate forklifts as necessary for transporting materials within the facility. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve fabrication issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field, 3rd year to red seal is preferred. Apprentices may be considered Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is essential. Strong understanding of basic math concepts related to measurements and calculations. Ability to operate hand tools, sheet metal equipment, and forklifts safely. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A strong work ethic with a focus on safety in the workplace.
