Job Description

Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for a hard working sheet metal apprentice who is looking to grow in their career. This role would be working on commercial projects and residential mid rise projects which are primarily located east of the Portman Bridge. Responsibilities

• Perform ductwork installations, repair, maintenance, and service individually, and as part of a team.
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
• Measure and order material as required.
• Complete required documentation (i.e. electronic timesheets, job reports etc.) for services performed.
• Work respectfully with other sub-trades and site super.
• Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal.
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.
• Provide services to both internal and external customers.
• Using hand and power tools including grinders, wire cutters, power drills, shears, etc.

Qualifications

• A proven systematic and organized approach to multitasking.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
• Professional and exceptional communication skills both written & oral.
• Sheet metal experience is preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits: Local 280 Union
