Sewer Foreman - Job purpose
Coordinate sewer operations and oversee employees at construction sites. The Foremen will be the point of contact for employees, clients and management and is responsible for competent completion of each assigned project.
Duties and responsibilities:
Quality management - working with project management / consultant teams to ensure that workmanship meets / exceeds specifications
Health and safety management including hazard identification and analysis, worker competencies
Schedule management - ensure project timelines are maintained
Provide supervision on site and daily direction to crew
Delegation of tasks for all crew members
Site maintenance - management of site housekeeping in accordance with client and company guidelines
Lead inspections - address deficiencies
Mentor crew members
Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience as a lead hand or foreman with sewer & water projects
Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is required
Strong time management skills - able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion
Organized and able to complete regular project documentation
Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent
Able to support other positions as needed
Strong communication skills - able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail
Proven leadership capabilities and able to mentor workers for advancement
First Aid and other certifications are considered assets
Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
