The Faculty of Education has recently implemented a new internship supervision model with intern supervision seminars scheduled to meet weekly led by seminar leaders during the autumn semester from September to December. These seminars are connected to the field experience of interning students with the seminar leaders providing weekly guidance and advising in a remote virtual (zoom) setting.

A small number of Sessional Seminar Leaders/Practica Coaches will be hired to facilitate intern supervision seminar. The successful candidates will work with the Director and Coordinator of the Field Experience Office over the course of the autumn semester to ensure congruency with the overarching goal of supporting students in their internship placements. Sessional Seminar Leaders are not expected to carry out field supervision but will be required to go through an orientation process with the Director and Coordinator of the Field Experience Office, as well as a debriefing process at the end of the term. Position Requirements
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied.
