Course number and title: Sessional Lecturer - LHA1042H - Educational Leadership and Diversity

Course description:

This course is designed to acquaint students with the practices and issues associated with administration, organization, and leadership in educational organizations with culturally diverse student populations. Students will have the opportunity to critically analyse and appraise the practices and issues involved in the administration and leadership of such schools. They will also have the chance to probe and clarify their own conceptions of, and attitudes toward, multiethnic and anti-racist education generally and leadership in such school organizations specifically, in ways that will assist them with their own administrative practices.

Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9,641.55
Sessional Lecturer II: $9,826.96
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,025.84
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,060.93
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $10,262.15

Minimum qualifications:

Candidates must hold a doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy or a related field and relevant professional experience. Demonstrated previous experience in graduate level teaching online, preferably using Blackboard or Canvas/Quercus. Demonstrated prior graduate teaching experience in the areas of the topic of the course.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of OISE\'s Educational Leadership and Policy program.

Description of duties:

Prepare, organize, and teach this half-course graduate seminar; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; evaluate and provide students with feedback on their work.
