Course Number and Title: CDN390H1F - Chinese Canadian Studies

Course Description: This course will examine socio-cultural, political and economic aspects of Chinese communities in Canada. It explores how the study of Chinese Canadians challenges and augments our understanding of issues such as immigration and diaspora, multiculturalism, and race and ethnicity.

Minimum Qualifications: Master\'s degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in progress or completed, in either Social Sciences or Humanities, with extensive and demonstrated academic experience in research and teaching on issues related to Chinese Canadian Studies. Demonstrated evidence of superior university teaching is preferred.

Description of Duties: Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. Circumstances permitting, planning and convening presentations by guest speakers is central to this course. The delivery method for this course is currently in person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the College. Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located.
