DescriptionThe Department of Political Science invites applications for sessional instructors to teach the following courses in Fall 2024 (August 26, 2024 - December 24, 2024) and Winter 2025 (Jan 6, 2025 - April 28, 2025). All courses listed will be taught in-person and require instructor presence on campus during class times.Courses of Instruction:
Fall 2024

• POLI 359 (LEC 01) - Introduction to Comparative Politics; Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays; 12:00 to 12:50
• POLI 381 (LEC 01) - Introduction to International Relations; Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays; 9:00 to 9:50
• POLI 447 (LEC 01) - Comparative Public Policy; Tuesdays and Thursdays; 11:00 to 12:15

Winter 2025

• POLI 279 (LEC 01) - Politics of the Global South; Monday and Wednesday; 15:30 to 16:45
• POLI 283 (LEC 01) - Issues and Trends in World Politics; Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays; 14:00 to 14:50
• POLI 508.03 (SEM 01) - Topics in Canadian Politics: Immigration, Mondays; 11:00 to 13:45

Position Requirements:

• Phd in in Political Science or a related field; strong candidates with an MA may also be considered
• Experience teaching undergraduate courses at a university level

Doctoral students must have successfully completed their candidacy exams prior to the beginning of the term in question for their applications to be given consideration. They should also have discussed their application with their supervisor and include a letter of support from their supervisors with their application.
