Job Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThis Part-Time Academic is required to teach MUSC 3211/3212 Composition I and/or MUSC 4211/4212 Composition II, from September 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025. The successful candidate will work in consultation and coordination with the full-time Composition professor. Duties include but are not limited to teaching composition students one-on-one for one hour weekly, provision of a method of assessment, adjudication of final recital and grade submission as per School guidelines. This is an hourly-paid teaching position reporting to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
Qualifications/Requirements of PositionMinimum of a Master's Degree in Composition or equivalent; significant professional experience as a composer; proven successful pedagogical experience as a composition teacher; excellent communication skills; computer literacy.
