The Department of Political Science, University of the Fraser Valley, invites applications for two (2) Sessional Positions for the Winter semester beginning January 2, 2026, to April 30, 2026.


Candidates for the first position will be required to teach the following courses:


POSC 297

: Introduction to Public Policy

POSC 307

: Government and Business Candidates for the second position will be required to teach the following course:

POSC 110

: Introduction to Canadian Politics

Qualifications


------------------


Applicants must hold a PhD or other terminal degree in Political Science or a closely related field, with a demonstrated understanding of Canadian politics, institutions, and democratic governance. Candidates who are ABD may also be considered.


We are seeking individuals with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a student-centred learning environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience integrating scholarly research or policy experience into the classroom and fostering engaged, inclusive pedagogy. A record of successful undergraduate teaching is required. Experience with online or hybrid modalities is an asset.
