Haskayne School of Business

at the University of Calgary invites applications for a

Sessional Instructor

to teach Winter 2026 FNCE 451 LEC 01 & LEC 02 (Corporate Finance). Classes in the Winter 2026 semester run from January 12 to April 14, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between April 17 to April 28, 2026, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:

"A deeper understanding of topics such as capital budgeting, capital structure, valuation, payout policy, and financing decisions."

Qualifications

A PhD or a PhD in Finance or related field is required Previous post-secondary teaching experience is an asset Work experience in the field are desirable Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction face-to-face and online in a post-secondary setting Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
