Position Description
The Department of Biological Sciences, within the Faculty of Science, invites applications for a Summer 2023 Term Sessional Instructor.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for lecture instruction, tutorials, and any other associated duties for this 3-credit course during the Summer 2023 Term.
It may be possible for two people to share the teaching duties, so those interested in teaching only half of the course (e.g., animal biology portion or plant biology portion) are encouraged to apply.
BIOL 371 - Comparative Biology of Plants and Animals
An exploration of how multicellular organisms meet the challenges of living, both as individuals, and in an evolutionary context. Parallels and divergence between plants and animals are illustrated in their responses to the challenges they face, with the water-to-land transition forming a central theme in shaping the form and function of plant and animal life.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate requires a minimum of a MSc in one of the biological sciences, with a PhD preferred, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Previous teaching experience, preferably in this course, will be considered an important asset.
