We are thrilled to announce that we are hiring Sessional Instructors for our Bachelor of Hospitality Management for the upcoming term: Winter 2026.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated

Sessional Faculty

members to teach in the

Bachelor of Hospitality Management

program. The ideal candidates will bring academic expertise and industry experience to courses such as:

Hospitality Management Seminar

Capstone Project

Research Methods

Management Sciences

Other High-Level Courses

in the Hospitality field.
Successful applicants will engage students through interactive learning, foster academic inquiry, and ensure alignment with WCC's educational standards and learning outcomes.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:? Sessional

TERM:?Winter 2026 (January 2026 - April 2026)

LOCATION: Central Surrey, BC: The candidate must be able to commute to our Central Surrey Campus (CC3).

SCHEDULE: Flexible, dependent on the availability

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction aligned with course objectives and program learning outcomes. Prepare and update course materials, assignments, and assessments. Guide and evaluate student projects, particularly in the Capstone and Research Methods courses. Provide academic support and constructive feedback to students. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in the College System. Participate in academic meetings and contribute to program development, as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS FOR SESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR:

A Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field (PhD preferred). Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level, preferably in hospitality or business management programs (2-4 years). Relevant industry experience in hospitality, tourism, or management (2 -3 years). Strong understanding of research methods, applied management principles, and current trends in the hospitality industry. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

Experience supervising student capstone or research projects. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle). Commitment to inclusive, engaging, and experiential teaching practices.
Salary will be per course, per term ($6,000-$6,500)
