The Engineering & Society Program invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2024-25 session. Department Contact: Anna Sciascetti Course Name(s)/Number(s): ENGSOCTY 3Y03 Term: 1 Number of Section(s) Available: 1 Number of Units per Section: 3 Location (on/off campus): On Campus Projected Enrollment: 60 Projected TA Support: 1 Wage Rate*: $8943.00 Start Time and Duration: September 3 \xe2\x80\x93 December 19, 2024 Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties Technology and Society \xe2\x80\x93 A study of the nature and structure of technology, the nature of culture, and the role and place of different groups, including engineers, in a culture dominated by technology; and mechanisms for the social control of technology.
Required Qualifications - Masters in Engineering Preferred Qualifications - A background in sustainability and a P.Eng designation is desirable.

  • Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
