TRU's Williams Lake campus is located approximately three hours northwest of Kamloops, in the heart of the scenic Cariboo region, on T'exelcemc territory within the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemc Nation.

The School of Social Work and Human Service (Faculty of Education and Social Work) at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a sessional lecturer to teach the following course at the Williams Lake Campus.


CYCA 2400 - Conception to late Childhood


QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Child & Youth required, or a Child and Youth Care degree combined with another relevant Doctorate or Masters will be considered. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Child & Youth care and extensive practice and educational experience working in a trauma informed context may be considered. Subject matter expertise and practice experience is required. Successful teaching experience in post-secondary institutions is desirable A minimum of five years of related practice experience, and educational specialization for content specific courses Availability for scheduled course times required. Monday 4:00-6:50 Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated experience in integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods (TRC CA 62) Proven skills in building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect (TRC CA 63) * Teaching excellence, including developing culturally appropriate curricula (TRC CA 10)
