Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.:We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive our IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) initiatives. This is a senior role is responsible for establishing, documenting, and executing processes to ensure high data integrity of Sun Life's IT Asset Management platform through multiple stages of IT asset lifecycle, pulling from data sources across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in ServiceNow development, a deep understanding of ITAM and CMDB processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and integrity.What will you do?

  • Develop and implement strategic directions for IT Asset Management (ITAM), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Support the IT asset portfolio, overseeing compliance with risk, cost, governance, and performance metrics.
  • Establish and enforce data governance principles to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Support software license management, software currency management and compliance initiatives, leveraging ServiceNow's Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) functionalities.
  • Act as the technical lead for ServiceNow platform enhancements, focusing on ITAM modules and integrations.
  • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Asset Management module to address operational requirements, issue resolution, and reporting needs.
  • Oversee customization and optimization efforts across various ServiceNow modules to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Design and support integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems to streamline asset and configuration management processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models, governance processes, and integration strategies to maintain the CMDB's integrity and reliability.
  • Monitor asset health and resolve conflicts between data sources, ensuring consistent and reliable configuration data.
  • Mentor a team of ServiceNow developers and ITAM professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with service owners, enterprise architects, and technology leaders to define and implement strategic directions for ITAM and ServiceNow initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement within ITAM and CMDB domains, leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Define and implement governance solutions and processes for software and hardware asset management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
What will you need to succeed?
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management and ServiceNow platform development.
  • Experience in managing technical teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of ServiceNow, including ITSM/ITAM solutions and principles.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow SAMPro for Software Asset Management
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing enterprise-wide IT asset management policies and solutions.
  • Advanced ServiceNow development and customization skills.
  • Understanding of hardware, software, and license lifecycle processes.
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles and data risk management.
  • Strong analytical abilities and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with familiarity in methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in financial organizations.
  • Preferred certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
