Job Description

Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, magnetic flowmeters, instrumentation, chemical injections pumps and package engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Eastern Canada. Working closely with the Service Manager , the Service Writer will interact with customers and dealer network to provide information in response to inquiries on parts, products, and services. In addition, the Service Writer will assist with and resolve complaints with Service Manager. As the Service Writer you are responsible for:

• Creating and managing work orders with company business software.
• Ensuring smart and efficient booking and scheduling all in-bound work.
• Tracking maintenance intervals on in-house fleet assets to ensure that equipment functions properly when required.
  • This includes the inspection and maintenance of vehicles, tools, load banks and cables; near miss and incident report collection; and other management record keeping and maintenance scheduling.
• Compiling quotes for both internal fleet repairs and external customer repairs.
• Completing follow-up calls with customers to ensure proper satisfaction with Sansom service work
• Receiving and placing customer service telephone calls and email inquiries with speed and accuracy
• Maintaining solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns efficiently and professionally
• Working with the Service Manager to prepare customer invoicing and annual contract service and billing.
• Data entry and research as required to troubleshoot customer problems.
• Managing the relationships of a large portfolio of existing clientele within a territory

You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver\'s abstract
• Ability to maintain a high-level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
