Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while facilitating communication between customers and technicians. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and sales skills to effectively upsell services and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their needs and concerns regarding vehicle service. Accurately document customer information, vehicle details, and service requests. Communicate service recommendations to customers based on technician assessments. Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional services and products that enhance vehicle performance. Manage cash handling processes, including processing payments and maintaining accurate transaction records. Maintain a clean and organized service area to promote a professional environment. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and communicate effectively with both customers and technicians. Proven sales experience with a focus on upselling services in a customer-centric environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
