About The Opportunity

We're looking for a Service Writer to join our dynamic Service team! Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Writer plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the department through administrative precision, coordination, and exceptional customer service.


This is a vital position for keeping our service processes running smoothly, ensuring that customers receive top-tier service, work orders are processed efficiently, and administrative functions are completed with accuracy and care. What You'll Do (A Day in the Life):

Prepare work orders for Service Manager review and approval Support daily administrative functions for field, shop, internal, and warranty work Help improve service operations and customer experience by streamlining workflows Assist with technician dispatch in the absence of the Service Manager Answer incoming calls to the Service Department and assist customers professionally Enter technician time and job stories onto work orders Ensure accurate coding for purchases and expenses; submit for approval and processing Process technician expenses and prepare payroll entries for manager review File and manage warranty claims for OEMs Maintain service department filing systems and records Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) and assist in achieving WIP targets Close work orders upon authorization from the Service Manager/Supervisor Perform additional duties or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proficiency in time management and task prioritization Comfortable with customer service, both over the phone and in-person Solid understanding of financials and ability to assist with account issues Effective multitasking under pressure in a fast-paced environment Experience in service, repair shop, dealership, or equipment industry is an asset
