JOB SUMMARY

Service Fabricators will assist our Service Department in fabricating a variety of components for truck bodies, trailers, and mobile oilfield equipment. Such components can include shelving, underbody compartments, steps, railings, and doors. Successful candidates for this role must have a motivation to learn fabrication techniques, strive to acquire a keen eye for detail, and improve their problem-solving skills. Prior experience in MIG and TIG welding processes, the ability to read blueprints, and operation of fabricating equipment are an asset, but will be developed.

LOCATION

Our Coaldale, AB plant is located just off Highway 3, an easy commute from Lethbridge or Taber. We have approximately 140 employees and are continuing to expand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cut, bend, and fabricate custom components as required using fabrication machinery and equipment

Develop proper welding techniques for both aluminum and steel

Bench building of components, as well as on-vehicle fabrication

Prep and install components as required

Analyze drawings before building and demonstrate critical thinking

Willing to be hands on in other departments when needed

GENERAL

Know and apply company safety rules, policies, and relevant occupational health and safety legislation

Work in a professional and ethical manner

Use of hand, power and air tools safely and as required

Provide support for other departments as necessary

Properly fill out daily time sheets and target hour sheets

Develop effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors, always treating others with respect

Be receptive to a rapidly changing environment and circumstances

Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

At least one year of welding experience

Aluminum welding experience is a strong asset, but can be taught

Experience with basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Strong skill set with basic hand/power tools

Brake and Shear experience considered an asset

Strong knowledge of ITB's products is an asset

WORKING HOURS

Permanent Full-Time

Core hours are from 7:00am - 3:30pm

Candidate proficiency is taken into consideration when determining starting wage.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
