Do you like solving hands-on problems, working outdoors, and seeing the results of your work every day?

At Horst Systems, we're looking for a Grain Dryer Service Technician to join our service team. You'll travel across Ontario to keep farm grain dryers running safely and efficiently -- helping farmers protect their crops and livelihoods.

Working closely with our Service and Operations teams, you'll troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and gas systems, complete preventative maintenance, and assist with new equipment installations. Success in this role requires technical aptitude, safety awareness, and a customer-first mindset.

This is a permanent full-time role, 45 to 55 hours per week Monday to Friday with overtime during peak periods. Travel throughout Ontario and overnight stays will be required.

What You'll Do

Troubleshoot and repair

electrical, mechanical, and gas systems

on grain dryers Perform

preventative maintenance

and seasonal tune-ups Assist with

new dryer installations

and start-ups Support other equipment service and installation projects when needed Communicate clearly with customers and keep accurate service records Follow all

health and safety protocols

and maintain PPE

What You Bring

Experience in

agricultural service, HVAC, millwrighting, or electrical work

(preferred)

Valid G driver's licence

and ability to travel throughout Ontario (overnight stays required)

WHMIS 2015

and

Working at Heights

certifications (training provided if needed)

Gas Technician (G2 or G3)

certification is an asset Physically fit to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors year-round
