Our Service Operations Manager maintains and drives these messages through the education, planning, auditing, and standardization and of FOH service and beverage operations across all restaurant locations.



The Service Operations Manager is responsible for educating, motivating, and engaging the FOH service teams of all locations by demonstrating and auditing the highest standard of service excellence. They oversee all strategic planning, education, and inventory systems for all beverage outlets. They oversee and audit steps of service at all locations. The Service Operations Manager is also accountable for ensuring maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness through beverage and labour costing initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicates the company\'s vision to all team members and leads by example
  • Oversees general operations of all outlets, working closely with District Management team
  • Plan, evaluate and monitor operations and financial areas within multiple facilities to maximize sales and profitability through the efficient execution of Company programs and the maintenance of Company standards
  • Coach and hold District Management teams accountable for financial budgets and targets
  • Monitors the expenses of the restaurants to ensure that effective cost-containment practices are in place. Also ensures that operating expenses are in line with those of comparable properties and industry standards
  • Ensures beverage and labour costing initiatives are managed making certain maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness while identifying efficiencies.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with team members and back of house management alike
  • Builds and maintains relationships with beverage suppliers and industry professionals, keeping on top of industry trends and developments
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps and obstacles at restaurant level and collaborate with members of the executive leadership team to address challenges and achieve operational excellence
  • Guides and supports the front of house senior management teams through day-to-day service operations and troubleshooting service standards while using effective conflict/resolution and problem solving skills
  • Reviews analysis of guest feedback and guides restaurant leadership in completing vision workbooks and corresponding goal sheets.
  • Conduct regular meetings with District and General Managers to provide feedback, set goals and evaluate performance
  • Acts as a \'stand-in\' Manager when needed, including supervising activities.
  • Routinely audits steps of service and service standards at all locations, providing feedback and coaching to Senior Management
  • Assists and manages budgets and annual strategic planning for all locations in conjunction with President and Senior Management teams
  • Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the venue
  • Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of hospitality and service
Qualifications
  • Proven multiple years of success as a General Manager
  • Post secondary education in Restaurant Management (or similar) desirable
  • Strong business acumen and time management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering financial results
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques
  • Self-starter, highly flexible, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent training, coaching, and mentoring skills are essential
  • Human resources management skills such as: recruitment, selection, training, performance management
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Optimum Control
