Our client has an great opportunity for an exceptional Service Manager in Dewberry, Alberta! Previous experience would be great, but our client will also consider someone with a technical background, great coaching skills, client satisfaction oriented, eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

What makes the role exciting and what does it involve?

  • Overseeing the operations of the service department for agriculture equipment
  • Leading and coaching the service team (A Service Writer, Shop Foreman and Service Technicians)
  • Motivating the team to achieve goals, financial and organizational objectives
  • Annual budgeting, in collaboration with the Branch Manager
  • Creating and driving marketing plans for the service department to contribute to achieving department goals
  • Final reviews of work orders for accuracy
  • Submission of warranty claims as per OEM guidelines
  • Schedule and assigning work to Service Technicians, as appropriate
  • Handling client concerns
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience as a Service Manager, Operations Manager, technical leadership role or leadership role in the agriculture industry would be preferred
  • A degree or diploma in Agribusiness would be an asset, but not required
  • A technical background, certification as a Journeyperson, Agriculture Equipment Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician, understanding of agriculture equipment or experience working/growing up on a farm
  • An understanding of service department metrics and financials would be helpful, but it's something we can teach too
  • Great coaching skills and able to effectively motivate a team to achieve department goals
  • Client satisfaction focused, while also balancing the interests of the company
