Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Service Manager's Assistant to support and enhance our automotive service department. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in dealership operations, auto service management, or service department clerical roles. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating daily service operations, ensuring high-quality vehicle repairs, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Previous experience in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and sales will be highly valued to contribute to the efficiency and growth of our dealership.

Duties

Assist the Service Manager in overseeing daily shop operations, including scheduling and workflow management Help facilitate upselling of additional services and vehicle accessories to customers Repair order processing for warranty, retail, and internal Ensure all vehicle repairs meet quality standards and safety regulations Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing updates on vehicle status and explaining recommended services Manage payment processes related to service transactions Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

Dealership experience or auto service management background is preferred General knowledge in automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspensions, tire services, brake repair, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and electronics/ electrical Experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and to perform customer solicitation, satisfaction, and retention Mechanical knowledge combined with experience as a service technician or in automotive repair roles is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
