SUMMARY:



The Service Coordinator performs a variety of dispatching and administrative tasks. The person in this position is responsible for coordinating in-house technicians and subcontractors, for scheduling service work for repairs, maintenance and small renovations, and ensuring the ordering of materials and equipment. The Service Coordinator is highly customer-oriented with an understanding of the trades or construction industry.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



Coordinating the workflow of our in-house technicians and subcontractors.

Creating work orders for in-house technicians and subcontractors, and dispatching them accordingly.

Ensuring technicians work safely as per WCB standards and our Health & Safety policy.

Assisting with sourcing new subcontractors and vendors as needed.

Gathering quotes and pricing from subcontractors, and adding them into the database.

Following up on all necessary paperwork for subcontractors, incl. WCB insurance.

Supporting the preparation of quotes.

Responsible for communicating all relevant information between clients, subcontractors, technicians, and all team members.

Creating new client accounts in the database.

Performing a variety of administrative tasks, including checking service emails, and maintaining database for clients and subcontractors.

Responsible for scheduling repairs and maintenance on tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

Performing administrative tasks related to company vehicles.

Supporting the ordering of materials and supplies for small to medium-size renovation projects.

Assisting in calculating time and materials on work orders and preparing for invoicing.

Providing coverage for other dispatch team members as needed.

Coordinating and communicating effectively with team members and other branches.

Sharing responsibility for emergency after-hour calls as per the rotation schedule.

Performing other duties as assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:



Required Training/Experience:



3+ years of experience as a dispatcher within the construction or trades industry

2 years of administrative experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Ability to solve problems effectively

Resourceful and service-oriented

Pay: $64,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
